When you are just getting started with kayak fishing there is no real reason to spend $2000 on your first kayak.
The reality is that much cheaper models can still be great choice if you are aware and know how to plan around some of their shortcomings.
Sun Dolphin Excursion 10 is a great choice for entry-level kayak. It is 10 feet long, 30 inches wide and weighs measly 40 pounds. It is easy to store, navigate and transport – perfect for small water bodies.
Although it lacks angler specific features and is not big enough for catching bigger fish or going to larger waters it is perfect as your first fishing kayak.
